I am a full time, professional photographer with a studio located in Brisbane and travelling regularly for on-location shoots. Been a photographer for over 25 years, use professional Canon equipment (1d1MarkIII, amongst others), shoot in natural or studio lighting, do my own own post-processing, re-touching etc, develop and maintain our own web presence.
And I absolutely LOVE photographing beautiful women.
I love photographing them beautifully dressed up - and beautifully dressed down if they want. All in one shooting session. Our special novice portfolio rates are as follows
(MUA and Hair not included):
- 1 shoot and at least 10 hi-res images for $150.00
- 2 shoots andat least 50 hi-res images on a DVD for $250.00.
EXPERIENCED MODELS Experienced but need to update your portfolio? Standard 2 location shoot portfolio starts at $595.00, including images on DVD
We often offer TFP on special assignments. Paid assignments we negotiate. If you need to update your portfolio, please give us a call to discuss.
TRADE FOR PRINTS
Happy to do TFP or TFCD on certain occasions if it's the right fit for my portfolio. However, if you suddenly find you can't make it for any reason, please demonstrate some professional courtesy and notify me well in advance. That way you keep me on side.
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT
DURATION
Depending on how many outfits you want to wear and the time spent on your makeup and hair, the duration of the shoot will vary. Generally allow 3.5 hours minimum for a good, solid shoot in the studio, including an hour's make-up.. On location, add travel time.
ESCORTS Need to bring an escort to check me and our studio out? No problem, but we prefer them not to hang around for more than 15 minutes because they are just too distracting. If you are under 18 then, yes, your guardian can remain for the entire shoot if so-wished. (Once you've done your first shoot with me, you'll realise there was no cause for concern - but I fully understand the need first up.)
MUAs and STYLISTS are welcome to stay the entire shoot, of course.
HAIR AND MAKEUP
If you do your own hair and make-up, the better job you do, the less work I have to do on the images afterwards, and the less it's going to cost you!.
IMAGE CONCEPTS AND LOOKS
In our studio we work on a range of looks and moods to generate as much variety for your portfolio as possible. On-location, we would have previously discussed the shoot before arrivng, but without exception the shooting zone is dynamic and fluid, taking advantage of the background, variety of angles, weather and different moods we are looking for.
YOUR JOB
It's up to you as a model is to be creative: to strike the different poses, give me different expressions and to work with me, collaborate together on looks, ideas and concepts as we go, allowing the shoot to evolve into something unique and exciting.
MY JOB
To set up the scene, encourage, guide and direct you - then to exact exciting and beautiful images, using a range of techniques and angles, from the continuous flow of "looks" you give me.
IMAGE PREVIEW
Processing and selection of images back in the studio is usally quick, depending on the circumstances (my work load at the time, in particular).
Depending on how busy I am that day or week, first preview images will be returned to you much faster than most other photographers (particularly if you have already paid) and quite often sample images from the shoot are up on Facebook or on our website on the first day
FINAL IMAGES -
RETOUCHED AS NECESSARY
If requested and within reason, images are retouched to varying degrees, but how much I'm willing to do to include in your portfolio needs to be agreed in advance. We can do the natural or unnatural look, but I prefer as natural looking as possible. Tell me what you want in advance, and we will work it for you.
